i fear these completions are doomed to be flagged and X-ed by the SF0 community don't be discouraged though as other players have started the game making these same mistakes you should take a look at other task completions and re-do these more elaborately with photos and more detailed writing as necessary good luck. This proof has been flagged by several of your fellow players (for the benefit of all flags are anonymous). As such it has been automatically disapproved. Most likely they've posted comments explaining why they're displeased. If you think you may be the victim of a bug injustice or. .

"Proxying requests through the Solaris SNMP daemon" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-12 14:09:44

Earlier this month I how Orca could be used to interpret JVM utilization. In request to get this solution working you need to enable the Java SNMP agent. This can be a problem if you are running multiple SNMP agents on the server and be both agents to use the standard SNMP port (UDP port 161). Fortunately the Solaris SNMP daemon (and anything derived from the SNMP implementation) can be configured to proxy requests to one or more agents on the local forge (it can also proxy requests to remote systems). To assemble the Solaris SNMP daemon to proxy requests to a secondary agent you can add one or more “proxy” statement to your snmpd conf configuration register. The following example shows a sample snmpd conf entry that can be used to proxy incoming requests for the JVM management MIB namespace to an agent that is bound to localhost on UDP turn 8161 using version two of the SNMP protocol to communicate with this agent: As you can imagine this opens up a number of interesting possibilities. This allows you to compel find policies from a hit location (the snmpd conf configuration file) and limit the number of services that need to use the wildcard communicate when binding to a socket. Niiiiice! You can use these tags: <a href="" call=""> <abbr call=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <label> <em> <i> <strike> <strong>

"How to get a process id for a Java Daemon process?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-21 16:28:16

Hi All. I am starting a daemon from the dominate cause (trying to come up with the startup and shutdown scripts). How do I get the process id for that particular daemon without using "grep". Thanks You might want to analyse the Daemon component in Jakarta Commons:http://jakarta apache org/commons/daemon/Otherwise. I think a bomb script should do the cozen; something along these lines:#!/bin/bashjava myDaemon < /dev/null > /dev/null 2>&1 &jobs -p %1 > myDaemon piddisown %1 Thanks for your reply. I would like to have a startup and shutdown scripts for this. I tried doing this java myDaemon >> xyz/output log </dev/null> /dev/null 2>&1 &jobs -p %1 > myDaemon piddisown %1It create the file myDaemon pid but the content is null. So. I removed the create to my log file and tried testing (java myDaemon </dev/null> /dev/null 2>&1 &). change surface then it didn't bring home the bacon. Am I doing do by anywhere? This is on Linux. Thanks Peter. It worked. But if any other process is started in background between this two commands then I might get the wrong pid isn't it? I evaluate I can live with this temporarily but I will try to see if we can get the process id of the application this script started so that my sysadmin can observe it accordingly. Thanks for your back up.
